It felt like spring today here, and it made me want a burst of color and life in this otherwise dreary February. 1. Beautiful satchel 2. Floral bathing suit 3. Yellow polka dotted undies 4. Heart bow tie
5. Two-toned wedges 6. Henris Walk to Paris book. Illustrations by Saul Bass 7. Moisturizing pick-me-up 8. Cover of Damien Correll's zine "A Number of Things in Other Things"

Bella Figura
Some of my favorite new(ish) wedding invitations from Bella Figura. Their sensibility is one part classic, one part fun, two parts modern. The way they take a typeface and add a hand drawn quality to it, and maintain a clean, and classic look is a great option to add some flare but still keep it traditional.
Their use of color, I think is a really good way to bring an old typeface, like Caslon swash caps, into the 21st century with a neon pink bang!
Every invitation has the option to be edged, a great way to add a pop of color that is a fun surprise when you discover it.

A little vintage, a little rock and roll
Inspiration board for a baby shower invitation I am printing for an owner of a local, rad, amazing record store Slowtrain!
Lovers of music I had to keep it in that theme. Drawing from vintage record sleeves, modern, flat illustration that is one part kooky, two parts genuis.
Playing off the gig poster culture, I want to keep thing hand drawn, including the text and the colors flat and thick. And of coarse the every enticing color overlapping.
They want a very gender neutral palette, so I am choosing teal, persimmon, and white! A very popular color combo in the Print! Print! Print! world!!

Hattie Graduation
Graduation announcement I letterpress printed on the Ms. Asburn (yep, the press is a she as of now!) for a dear friend's graduation announcement. We designed it together and I don't think I could like it any better!
